Avenue 55 was seeking a reputable general contractor to perform a buildout of their 4,000 SF space at Two Union Square. Avara Construction was selected amongst 3 other preferred building contractors to complete this project. The tenant had particular needs in terms of project delivery and milestone communications. Avara worked alongside Weaver Architects to develop a value engineering package for the tenant to meet specific budget requirements.

The project consisted of the demolition of the existing space with a complete redesign of the layout and ceiling reconfiguration. The space features a custom reception desk, break room island with solid surface waterfall ends, large file room, and executive office desks with shelving. Our team also delivered significant MEP alterations: cooling upgrades, dedicated server cooling, and lighting upgrades.

Chelsey Openshaw brings years of experience in accounting, the preparation of financial statements, and a client focused mentality to the Avara Team. Her attention to detail, analytical skills, and time management enable her to lead the operations and accounting functions at Avara. Her experience includes an undergraduate and masters degree in accounting at the University of Washington as well as professional experience as an auditor and financial reporting accountant.

Chelsey Openshaw a wealth of experience in ground-up construction spanning retail, multi-tenant residential, mixed-use, hospitality, and health & fitness. Jason has nearly 10 years’ succeeding experience as a Project Engineer, and leverages his education and can-do attitude to make sure all of the details are thoughtfully considered throughout the lifecycle of the project.
